The program of the third full day of the trip was tied together by the central theme of diplomacy and international relations. The activities began in the morning with a visit to the Polish Cultural Institute, located near the Grand Central station in the heart of Manhattan. The team working at the institute described the specifics of their day-to-day work in cultural diplomacy and shed light on how Poland is promoting its culture overseas. Afterwards, the group visited the headquarters of the United Nations where we participated in the guided tour of the building, including the chamber of the General Assembly (pictured in the header image). Finally, the day concluded with a roundtable discussion at the New York University entitled “The UN and the Future of Multilateralism in the New World Disorder,” organized by the NYU Program in International Relations. The participants of the debate included experienced diplomats, scholars, and journalists.
